Sacred Sound: Singing Bowl Sound Bath
hosted with Jeffrey Winter, Reiki Master Teacher, Sound Healer

Sound is sacred! It has played an integral part in many cultures and religions throughout history. Many instruments have conveyed the teachings, emotions, and physical sensations of sound. This one hour workshop will present teachings and performances of Sacred Sound through Himalayan bronze singing bowls. Come experience the sound that is…and the sound that is not! If you would like, please bring a small crystal, no bigger than a few inches in length, and not fragile or cracked, for energetic charging in a singing bowl.

Spring Renewal: A Moderate Yoga Series

Clear the body and mind. Awaken what is real for you.

We’ll shake off the weight of winter and do yoga practices that cleanse body and mind while clearing the way for us to explore what is true for each of us as spring unfolds. All levels, including those wanting a gentle practice, are welcome!

In this class you will
– Practice the art of being in the present moment
– Learn to open yourself to non-judgmental awareness
– Learn yoga practices that help purify the body and mind
– Begin to open to your true self

Movement and Mindfulness for Kids (grades 2-4)

When children (and adults!) feel anxious or overwhelmed, mindfulness can be their anchor. With this life skill they can better face challenging situations as their lives expand.

In this class we will
– Practice fun yoga poses
– Move through imaginative play
– Dance to the latest tunes
– Learn one mindfulness tool per week
– Share with parents the tools we learn!

Here’s a video that illustrates one of the many uses of mindfulness.

Practicing the Art of Letting Go: A 4-week Gentle/Moderate Yoga Series

It’s easy for us to get attached to expectations or ideas
about what we want or think should happen in our lives.
Clinging to these ideas can sometimes hold us captive
and, as a result, keep us dissatisfied. As we move from
late autumn into the Winter Solstice, we’ll be working
on letting go, as autumn does, in preparation for
rejuvenating ourselves when the light begins returning.

Week 1: Letting go with the breath

Week 2: Letting go with the body

Week 3: Letting go of emotions

Week 4: Integration of all practices + short restorative, if time allows
