Mission and Vision
To inspire your ability to live from your truest, most authentic self and offer your unique gifts to the world—that is my wish and my work’s intention.
Through connection with Universal energies, including the Earth, the elements, the senses, and Spirit, I facilitate a gentle process of transformation for clients ready to accept a shift in their lives. I especially enjoy working with those who identify as creators, teachers, seekers, parents, daughters, sons, and anyone who feels called to come back into alignment with their True Self—something that many of us have lost through generations of trauma, neglect, and forgetting. As each of us comes into alignment, again, we support humanity, Nature, and the planet.
My current areas of deeper study are engaged with understanding the power our bodies have to guide us to healing, the layers of trauma that can be released when we heal and integrate our ancestral lineages, our capacity to remember our alignment with the Taoist principle of wu-wei, and the power of human creativity and collaboration.
About Kathryn
Kathryn has been connecting with transcendent energies since she was a child growing up as a musician, dancer, and explorer of the mysteries of history.
While teaching English in Italy and exploring the historical spaces of Europe as a young adult, she began asking more questions about the Universe, our purpose, and her truth, while developing her interests in writing and photography. Poetry soon became her main mode of artistic expression, and a source of solace in times of confusion and darkness. This connection to Voice further opened her awareness of unseen energies, such as the spirits of nature and the elements.
Kathryn has been initiated in advanced shamanic healing and divination with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and with Betsy Bergstrom. With Betsy, she has also been initiated in Oracular Mediumship, Seiðr, the Norse Mystery Traditions, Curse Unraveling, and Compassionate Depossession (teacher level). Kathryn has also trained with Mary Shutan in counseling for clients undergoing spiritual awakening, as well as the Body Deva healing method.
Many other teachers, including Sandra Ingerman and Daniel Foor, have taught or initiated Kathryn in shamanic practice, ancestral spirit connection, spiritual navigation, and energy healing.
In addition, Kathryn is an Usui Reiki Master Teacher (in the lineage of Eileen Dey) and a YA-S trained Adaptive Hatha Yoga teacher. She also has studied with Mindful Schools to teach mindfulness to children (K-12). During her Yoga teacher training with Christy Fisher at Phinney Ridge Yoga, Kathryn developed an interest in supporting neuro-developmental movement patterns in children and adults. She continued her study in courses with Erika Berland and Brain Highways.
Kathryn holds a BA in Anthropology/Archeology, an MA in Humanities, and an MFA in Creative Writing. She is a member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals, the Energy Medicine Professional Association, the Society for Shamanic Practice, and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. She is also the proud mom of an imaginative teen.
Kathryn founded Still Origin Holistic Arts in 2016.
What does “still origin” mean?
A kernel of life, a particle of the divine lives at the core of our souls. It is related to the original particle (of the Universe, of the Divine), and carries the wisdom that we need to thrive in every lifetime. It is a particle of still origin, of the beginning of time and space, that we can access in our lifetimes for guidance, support, and our own innate wisdom. It does not judge or curse but counsels with the supportive gaze of divine neutrality, watching as understanding dawns on us gradually throughout our lifetimes. It is also a voice that we can learn to hear if we get quiet enough.
It feeds our intuition, but it is not our intuition. It always knows what to do and what is important in any situation. It feeds our creativity, but it is not our creative output. It is difficult to access but always available. It facilitates our connection to Earth and nature, as well as our connection to the mystery and the divine. It lives in our connections with other beings on the planet. It lives in our relationships. And it is the point of balance of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual selves.
